Restored Shrine of La Peregrina, Sahagun

The local authority of Sahagun have taken great care to restore a Franciscan Church as the Shrine of La Peregrina - Our Lady of Pilgrims. It has been done in beautiful but simple Franciscan style. Well worth waiting to see and for only €3 a bargain visit. This is also the place where pilgrims like me can obtain a Carta Peregrina. It certifies that at the heart of the Camino the pilgrim has visited the Shrine of La Peregrina. For me it was a very special moment, being officially halfway through the journey to Santiago de Compostella.

Enjoy the photographs of the Shrine and pray that I may successfully complete the next "half" of the Camino. Pray too for all on pilgrimage at this time, wherever they are going and wherever they are. Include yourself as you journey through the week.
