Epilogue

Taking a summer break in Cornwall and a short 11.5 km walk along the coast path from Polperro to Polruan and all those Camino memories and people coming flooding back. I am hoping that everyone I met is safe and well. I am recalling Bill and Chaya who got me started at St Jean, the priests at Roncesvalles who commanded my presence at the altar, a fab Hospitalero at Zubiri, Torsten and Chaya's company and support ascending Alto del Perdon. There was Rosa, Lukas and Javier, Monique and Enrique at Sahagun, Jean and others along the way. An inspirational father and son team, Julio at Astorga and Sarria. Others whose names I cannot recall but whose faces I see in my heart. My amazing wife Nikki's achievement and perseverance, the fab food in unexpected places, fresh bacon and brie hot bocadillo, hotpots and menu del dia. The climbs, the wet, the snow and the rain all sprang to mind. I had not for one minute thought that once I started the Camino that it would be forever a part of me, that I would yearn to be once more on the trail, that it would move me so deeply.
Here on holiday it made me want to walk, in the walking the memories brought all of you back to me. God bless you all, wherever you are. Ultreia and Buen Camino! Laus Deo.
